Auto (Japanese: オート Auto) is a battle command in EarthBound Beginnings and EarthBound. It causes the player's battle commands to be controlled by an AI. The AI puts high priority to healing, and does not use offensive PSI or items. The AI's choices, similarly to the player's, are determined before any actions take place, meaning for example that a character will not revive a character on the same turn that they are knocked unconscious. This command was removed in Mother 3, possibly because of the Sound Battle system. It can be disabled by pressing the B button.
