Ramblin' Evil Mushroom is an enemy in EarthBound. Before being battled, they look like regular mushrooms. However, if Ness walks by an area with them, they'll attack. They are dangerous due to the fact they are able to put a special status effect on Ness and his friends, known as being Mushroomized, where it plants a mushroom on one party member's head.
Two other versions of the Ramblin' Evil Mushroom in EarthBound are both referred to as the Struttin' Evil Mushroom. The identical Ramblin' Mushroom also appears in Mother 3.

"Evil Mushrooms sneak up on unsuspecting travelers and attack them with spores. Spores, which cause confusion, can be removed only at Hospitals."
