Much like its source song, Mischievous Blues,the song is primarily used when fighting the game's more goofier enemies, like the Spud Bug. Both songs are among the most common battle themes in the game, as well as the song used the most when fighting unused enemies in Mother 3.

Unlike most alternative songs, which are meant to be more difficult to combo, More Mischievous Blues js actually the easier than its source song, as the song's beat does not speed up at 0:22 like Mischievous Blues. The two songs have often been compared to Baby Elephant Walk which is believed to be the inspiration of the song.
