'''Giant Step''' is one of the locations in [[EarthBound]], being one of the [[Your Sanctuary|sanctuaries]], with its boss being [[Titanic Ant]]. It is found beside the town of [[Onett]]. It was initially being guarded by a shack to the west of Onett. Having to go there to get the sanctuary back though, [[Ness]] rids the streets of the city from [[the Sharks]]. As a thanks, Ness is given the key to open the shack by the mayor of Onett. It is home to many types of enemies, all based on small real world animals, mostly bugs or insects. The cave is named after a step outside of it, which has the sound of the sanctuary. When [[Ness]] exits out of the cave, he will be taken by cops under the control of [[Giygas]].

The Giant Step cave consists of three levels, with caves within which containing items. The three floors are fairly simple in layout, consisting of a straight path to the end. Ropeways are found at the end of each level which are used to traverse between levels. On the third level is the cave exit leading to a cliff outside. A [[Magic Butterfly]] will appear regularly as a healing break before the boss. On the west of the cliff is a cave leading back inside.
 
Back inside the cave follows through several more passageways, then it reaches two ropeways leading to the Sanctuary Guardian. When defeated, the exit to the Giant Step footprint becomes accessible.
