Central and Eastern Peaceful Rest Valley |
The Territorial Oak is an enemy in EarthBound. It is simply a small mobile tree, and is encountered by Ness in Peaceful Rest Valley, being by far the most powerful enemy there. Upon defeat, it explodes into a burst of flames. The Territorial Oak's overworld sprite is shared with a small tree. They remain entirely motionless until the player moves close to them, then begin to charge in a straight line towards them.
This enemy's Japanese name suggests that it is based on the BigWoodoh enemy from EarthBound Beginnings. A tougher version of this enemy in EarthBound is the Hostile Elder Oak.
